TPMBC Code of Conduct
-
Respect the trail – respect wildlife, the environment and other trail users.
-
Share the Trail – Pedestrians have full use of the trail network. Make sure to greet and acknowledge fellow users.
-
Stay on the trail – do not cut switchbacks or explore off the designated trail.
-
Warn other users of your approach, slow down and pass with caution. Be alert and aware on busy trails. Riders are to yield to pedestrians.
-
Be prepared – know your equipment, your ability, the weather and the area you are riding/hiking in.
-
Closed Trails – It is illegal to ride closed trails and it gives our club a bad reputation with property owners. Trails are usually closed to protect the environment, maintenance or for safety considerations.
-
Unauthorized trail work – It is illegal to change the line or furniture on a trail without permission of TPMBC. Illegal trail work may lead to environmental damage, injury or trail closure.
-
Be quiet – keep your bike quiet, keep chatter to a minimum and ride like a ghost.
-
Good Etiquette – please consider our neighbours at trail heads and keep the car stereo off.
-
Have fun and ride/hike safe!
Attention Riders: Please remember that these trails are open to all users, not just mountain bikers. While the TPMBC maintains and enjoys these trails, we do not enforce trail rules. Confrontations with other trail users are not allowed. If you witness any illegal activities, please take photo of the offenders, note their license plate, and report it 1-800-TIPS-M (1-800-847-7667). Let's make our trails enjoyable for everyone by being polite and respectful!
