EFT Every Frickin' Trail

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY AS THERE IS IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR YOU  

Although we love them, please note that electric pedal assist bikes are not appropriate for this event and therefore will NOT be allowed.

This ride is NOT for beginners, it requires the ability to be on your bike all day – likely 8 hours plus of riding. PLEASE consider other riders before you join this ride. To be fair to those who want to accomplish the 80 +/- kms you need to be at a certain endurance and skill level such as:

  

- Ride at an average pace of 15 km/hr for long durations without stopping 

- Be self-supported and carry with you enough food for the day and enough water to get to the stops 

- Have a decent mountain bike in good mechanical shape, mechanicals do happen and we will help but if it cannot be repaired in reasonable time you will have to fall off the ride 

- Be prepared with basic tools and able to repair a flat tire 

- If you cannot keep pace with the group you need to move farther back in the line towards the Sweep, if you still cannot keep pace you will have to fall off the ride 

- Be fair to your fellow riders by fitting into the correct pace, properly marking an intersection you are asked to and waiting there until the sweep comes through 

- If you decide to fall off the ride on your own for any reason please inform a ride ambassador 

- Be conscious of not wasting extra time at the stops/breaks and be prepared to go when asked 

- Spray yourself with bug spray and sunscreen 

- PLEASE BE ON TIME !  We are expecting up to 100 riders Saturday and the only way this can be successful is if everyone does their part and helps others to accomplish the goal!
